Discover Kieran
Kieran always knew he would fill that vitally important role in society, one it cannot survive without: the starving artist. Thankfully, though, he has had tremendous success in acting, directing, and the performative arts throughout his burgeoning career--and been well fed along the way.
Kieran Danaan is originally from the Midwest, but considers himself more of a label-less voyager: he has twice performed nationally on the tour of A Christmas Carol; regionally with Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival and two seasons at Texas Shakespeare Festival, while also serving as a Touring Actor for an entire season with George Street Playhouse. Other regional work includes Theatre SilCo, Actors Theatre of Indiana, Lauderhill PAC, Totem Pole Playhouse, The Barnstormers Theatre, Camden Shakespeare Festival, Judson Theatre Company, JCM Productions, and several others. His professional work spans several theatrical genres, including musicals; comedies; dramas; period styles; and erstwhile hilarity, on his own part. He is ecstatic about the next grand step taken in his journey: becoming a member of Actors' Equity Association. Kieran’s adventures also brought him to great academic success, as he holds both a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from The University of Alabama (Summa Cum Laude) and a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre (with Honors) from Purdue University – Fort Wayne (Magna Cum Laude). “Education,” he says, “is the bedrock of artistic technique. It shapes and molds the intuitive flame within the artist—without his technique, he cannot survive.” Awards and Accolades Marian Gallaway Award—University of Alabama, 2021 and 2020 Arena Award, Best Actor in a Musical (nomination)—Arena Dinner Theatre, 2017 National Medal, Scholastic Art and Writing Awards---May, 2013, NYC Anthony Award, Best Actor in a Musical (nomination)—Fort Wayne Civic, 2015 Anthony Award, Best Male Dancer—Fort Wayne Civic, 2010 |
